Thanksgiving Day

Janet goes to local school. There Running deer tells something important to his classmates about Crow-Indians.
- Christopher Columbus landed in America in 1492. He didn't know was. He thought he that was in India. Our peoples arrived more than 20 000 years ago. Settlers arrived from England in 1620. We helped them. We didn't see danger about it. In the 17th and 18th centuries millions peoples arrived here. We Crow-Indians lost our reservations. We hunted buffaloes. We didn't buy food and clothes. We lived in tepees. But we are still here and I'm proud of it.
- Good Running deer. Can you say what they didn't do? teacher say.
- They didn't drive by car. And they didn't watch TV. They didn't buy food and they didn't own computers. They didn't drink coke and they didn't own mobile phones. They didn't live in houses.
